Traditional Design
The industrial revolution ushered in a new era of housing. At the turn of the 20th-century agriculture as a way of life gave way to working in businesses, housing was needed quickly to create places for families to live close to job centers. Early 20th-century pocket neighborhoods offered homes that were affordable with the daily wages and allowed for neighbors to connect with each other building strong communities. For 3 generations homes continued to get bigger and pricier until 2015. Then, a shift happened for the first time since the early 1950s. The new home square foot size dropped. As the cost of living increases and homes cost more per square foot, people sought better solutions for living to match the experience lifestyle we live in the 21st century.
